Women's volleyball falls to Temple, 3-1 in Patriot Invitational Saturday

The George Mason University women’s volleyball team wrapped up the Patriot Invitational Saturday night with a 3-1 loss to the Temple Owls in four sets.  It was their fourth game in the two-day tournament hosted by the Patriots at the RAC.

Atlantic 10 conference announces men's basketball national TV schedule

This morning, the Atlantic 10 conference announced the men's basketball national television schedule. Mason will play on a variety of national TV outlets during the 2013-2014 season, including appearances on CBS Sports Network, NBC Sports Network and ESPNU for the Diamond Head Classic.

IVth Night to showcase student talent and school spirit

This event was named IVth Night in honor of George Mason himself, whose full name was George Mason IV. The event will showcase student talent as well as school spirit.

Mason baseball travels to Williamsburg for weekend series with William & Mary

When the George Mason baseball team steps onto the field of Plumeri Park in Williamsburg on Friday, it’ll look to accomplish something they haven’t done since March 17 — win a three-game series against a Colonial Athletic Association rival.

Their last CAA series victory came against Northeastern in Fairfax. This time, the opponent is the William & Mary Tribe. With a record of 26-16, 9-6 in the CAA, the Tribe sits at third in the conference. Mason, meanwhile, is last in the conference with an overall record of 14-29, 5-16 in the CAA.

Cycling enthusiasts ride in sixth annual Bike to Mason Day

In case you hadn’t marked your calendars, April 23 was the annual Bike to Mason Day. The event is a six-year-old tradition celebrating George Mason University's cycling culture and encouraging more sustainable forms of transportation. Mason’s Office of Sustainability and Office of Parking and Transportation worked together to encourage students to seek out alternative ways of getting to and from campus.

S-CAR event headlined by Senator Mitchell

The School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution (S-CAR) advisory board hosted former United States Senator George J. Mitchell on Wednesday, April 17. Senator Mitchell gave a lecture entitled “The Importance of Place in Peacemaking," helping launch S-CAR's Point of View campaign.

The S-CAR Point of View campaign celebrates the history, vision and reconstruction of S-CAR's retreat and study center for conflict resolution. The Point of View is an international research and retreat center located in Mason Neck, Virginia.
