5 Halloween events happening this weekend

Earlier this week, on our Facebook page, C2M asked the Mason community where the best campus Halloween parties and festivities would be taking place this weekend.

With answers to that question, here’s a list of five Halloween happenings taking place on Mason’s campuses.

 

The Frightfully Awesome Halloween Dance!!

This dance and dining experience is being co-sponsored by Mason’s Ballroom Dance Club and CAFÉ-GMU. Free food will be served and music will be played Friday, Oct. 28 from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. in the Johnson Center Bistro. Attendees do not need to bring a dance partner, just themselves and a healthy appetite. Costumes are encouraged, but be ready to dance!

Monster Mash

Monster Mash is a family-friendly event happening on the Prince William campus, Sunday, Oct. 30 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The celebration will include games and activities for families with children. Monster Mash will be held in the Bull Run Hall Atrium.

Halloween Par-taaay: An Animated Affair

Mason’s Catholic Campus Ministry is hosting an animated themed Halloween party at the Robert Bellarmine Chapel behind President’s Park on Roberts Rd. The event will be held Saturday evening, Oct. 29 from 8:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. Free food, dancing, pumpkin carving and costume contests will be part of the festivities.

Mischief and Mayhem: A Frightful Friday

This event, hosted by Mason’s Program Board, is being held at Corner Pocket game in the HUB (SUB II) from 8 p.m. until 12 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28. Free play in the game room, food, pumpkin decorating and psychic readings will be part of the fun. There will also be a magician performance at 9:30 p.m.

GMU Asylum!

The Mason Players and Alpha Psi Omega are hosting the ASYLUM Haunted House on Sunday Oct. 30 from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. The event will be held in the Black Box Theater in the Performing Arts Building. A $2 dollar minimum donation is requested with all proceeds benefitting Broadway Cares – Equity Fights AIDS.
