Last Tuesday night's "Drag 302" class, taught by drag queen Reanna Sassie D'loceanono Devereaux Ballslee, began with a word association game.
Hair, stiletto pumps, fun music, high energy and the Spice Girls were a few things that came to students minds as they shouted out words that remind them of drag.
Ballslee, better known around campus as junior Ryan Allen, led the class while in full drag attire, covering everything from make-up application, nails, how to create hips, hair, and perhaps most importantly, how to fold a dollar to give to a drag queen.
The class was the third installment given by Allen in a series of classes which began in 2005. The class, as well as other drag events put on by Pride Alliance, always yield large turnouts according to Allen and Claire Gault, mostly due to student fascination.
Check out this Monday's Broadside edition to get the full story, including a Q & A session with Ryan Allen.
