'Mason Rocks' Homecoming 2008 Kicks Off

Homecoming 2008 for George Mason University started today in the Johnson Center atrium with a performance by dance group Urbanknowlogy 101 and an introduction of the Mr. and Ms. Mason homecoming court.

The event was full of prizes and entertainment. T-Shirts were thrown out to the hooting crowd, and lanyards were given out to everyone in attendance. The crowd extended to all three floors as onlookers peered over the railings on the upper levels.

Each contestant of the homecoming court walked across the stage as they were announced. They will be competing for student votes in the "Rock the Runway" pageant, tonight in Dewberry Hall at 8:00 p.m.
