Speaker of the House of Delegates Coming to Mason
Bill Howell, the speaker of the Virginia House of Delegates, will be coming to George Mason University on Tuesday, Oct. 21, to speak to students about the state budget, an issue that will affect students in the near future. Howell will be speaking in Research 163.
ITU Project Briefing
The Information Technology Unit will host a briefing to inform students about current and upcoming technology projects on George Mason University’s Campus. The briefing will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 22 in Research 1, room 163 from 1:30–3:30 p.m. ITU invites all students and faculty to come discuss issues or concerns related to IT on campus.

National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week
The third week in October is National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week. College students are encouraged to reflect on the physical and psychological consequences of excessive drinking.
According to the Inter-Association Task Force on Alcohol and other Substance Abuse Issues, “this week gives campuses the opportunity to showcase healthy lifestyles free from the abuse or illegal use of alcohol and to combat negative stereotypes of college drinking behavior.”
