This is the debut of C2M's weekly overview of the goings-on and upcoming events in the Colonial Athletic Conference in all varsity sports. 

Men's Basketball 

Games of the Week

Drexel vs. George Mason -- Thurs. Jan. 31 -- 7 p.m. 

Trailing Mason by a game in the CAA, the Dragons will have an opportunity to move up into second place in the conference with a win Thursday against the Patriots. Riding a three-game win streak, Drexel has turned their season around after a slow start and are out to prove that they deserved to be named preseason CAA No. 1. 

Northeastern vs. Drexel -- Sat. Feb. 2 -- 6 p.m. 

Battle between the preseason CAA No. 1 and the current No. 1 in the CAA should make for a hi

ghly competitive contest. Northeastern---undefeated in conference play

---has won their last seven games and hope to make the Dragons their next victims. Drexel has been on a tear of their own and have sophomore guard Damion Lee to thank, who is leading the team in scoring with 17.2 points per game.

Women's Basketball

Games of the Week

Delaware vs. Northeastern -- Tues. Jan. 29 -- 7 p.m. 

Ranked No. 24 in the nation and currently riding a 10-game win streak, the Blue Hens are the hottest team in the CAA and quite possibly the country. On the scoring production of future pro Elena Della Donne, Delaware is a physical presence for opposing teams. Northeastern will have its hands full in guarding Della Donne which should open things up for open looks for her teammates. 

Old Dominion vs. Drexel -- Thurs. Jan. 31 -- 7 p.m. 

After a career night against Northeastern knotching 33 points, Drexel's Hollie Mershon will have the opportunity to eclipse her new scoring best. Old Dominion is reeling from a tough loss to William & Mary and will need to keep tabs on Mershon, who has an inate ability to score, rebound and find her teammates for open shots.
