Fudging About
I haven't done a blog/online talky-talky page in awhile and I think it might be interesting to start doing one again. As always I wonder if anyone will see this and read it or if I will continue to dither on endlessly like a modern day Cassandra talking about random miscellaneous and running my sentences on and on until I wonder when I had my last English class. It's going to be very tangental over here and it's nothing that can be helped.
A friend of mine is working on a pet project, one I would be glad to bring over to the fledgling community of Connect Mason. His idea is to bring together a comprehensive list of all the 24-hour/late night places in the DC metro area. The important criteria here is not to just list the IHOP's, Denny's, and Taco Bell's in the area because while they do hold to the concept of a late night food joint, they lack one important quality. Character, also known as atmosphere. What we are looking for are the hole in the wall shops tucked away in DC and the nostalgic diners hiding around the area. Any sort of food will do, from pizza sandwiches to Korean barbeque, because at 3 am your cravings can be picky and unpredictable creatures.
I have always been a fan of late-night dining, especially for the baby sized cheeseburgers at Mario's down on Wilson Boulevard in Arlington. Feel free to comment here or on the blog, it's good to share our midnight havens.

24 hour hot spots
That sounds awesome. I'm the Connect Mason Director, Whitney ... (I need to change this username at some point). I'd love to work with you and your friend (is he a Mason student?) in creating a record of all the worthwhile 24-hour establishments in the area.
Can you email me at cmasondirector@gmail.com? We can talk more through email.
