While “Iron Man” doesn’t break any new ground, it is proof that Hollywood is finally perfecting the comic book movie. This film gives fans the comedy and one-liners they wanted from “Spider-Man,” the hard-hitting action they wanted from “Hulk,” and the realism they wanted from “Fantastic Four.” Add to the mix a solid story, some amazing effects, and a hint of romance and you get the first major blockbuster of the summer.
