Agencies withdraw from Career Fair in wake of government shutdown

The government shutdown has begun affecting George Mason University, specifically in this week's Career Fair.  

According to Career Services, the listed government agencies will not be attending Wednesday and Thursday's Fair: 

  • U.S. Department of State
  • National Security Agency (NSA)
  • U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs
  • U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA)
  • U.S. Transportation Security Agency (TSA)

Government agencies that will be attending the fair include, the U.S. Postal Service, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations. 

The Career Fair will be held Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Dewberry Hall in the Johnson Center.
