Bike shelters installed across campus

Bike shelters have cropped up across campus over the last month. The shelters are meant to encourage bike usage throughout campus and the Office of Parking and Transportation will increase the numbers of shelters to 10 by Summer 2011. The shelters, besides protecting bikes from rain or snow, will also serve as a way to generate ad revenue for Mason.

'Polls' open for Student Government elections

Student Government election "polls" have opened and will continue to process votes until Wednesday evening. Students can vote via CollegiateLink, a website that Student Involvement has recently begun to utilize.

Young Money crew to appear at Icons

Following a performance at the Verizon Center, member's of Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment crew will be at Fairfax's Icons Sports Lounge and Grille on Sunday evening. Members Mack Maine, Gudda Gudda, Jae Millz and Cory Gunz will be present.

Presidential debate to be live streamed

Starting next week students will have the opportunity to vote for next year’s Student Government members.

Bands to duke it out for spot at Mason Day

Brought to you by WGMU and Program Board, GM-Unit, Mood Indigo, the Mason Glee Club and Early RyzerzZ Crew will duke it out Friday evening for a chance to perform at this year’s Mason Day.

MC/DC Mason’s Competition of Dance and Choir will be held in the Johnson Center Atrium from 9:30 – 10:30 p.m. where the competing groups will battle for the crowd’s affection.

Parking changes to come following opening of University Hall

University Hall will be opening this spring, and with it several university offices will move in, including University Relations, Human Resources and Payroll, Auxiliary Enterprises and University Services among many others.

Food competition to be held at Mason Inn

Dozens of chefs from around the region will be frying, baking and sautéing against each other this Friday at the Mason Inn.

The Mason Inn will play host to the 5th annual ARAMARK's Culinary Excellence competition (ACE) for the region. ARAMARK, a company that specializes in food distribution for hospitals, schools and businesses, will have their regional chefs come together and battle each other for the chance to move on to the national competition in Florida.

University Hall to open doors on May 15

University Hall, the near-completed building next to Rappahannock River Parking Deck, will officially open its doors on May 15. Some administrators and offices will, however, have moved in earlier.
