Neil Gaiman and Alice Walker headline Fall for the Book

George Mason’s annual Fall for the Book will begin on September 26 and run until September 30. This will mark the fourteenth year of the festival.  Initially a two day event in Fairfax and at George Mason, the event has now spread into Washington D.C. and parts of Maryland. However, sixty percent of the event still remains on the Mason Fairfax campus.

Fall for the Book kicks off its annual festival this weekend with events beginning Sunday at noon in Old Town Fairfax and running through Sept. 23.

Ten writers in this year’s Fall for the Book festival are lending their support to the Service Employees International Union which is currently assisting Sodexo workers in their dispute over alleged low wages and poor working conditions on the Mason campus.
