Kendrick Lamar plays at Mason with the help of PAC

One of the biggest events at George Mason University each spring semester is Mason Week, especially it’s spring concert. The week is celebrated at the university with a slew of events. For this year’s spring concert, the Patriot Activities Council (PAC) will be hosting hip-hop artist Kendrick Lamar at the Patriot Center. Recording artist Kendrick Lamar was named “The Hottest MC in the Game” by MTV this year.

Wale headlines GMU fall concert

Tickets for D.C.-based rapper Wale went on sale Monday at the Patriot Center and the Office of Student Involvement. He will be performing at the Patriot Center on September 20th. Wale first came to the George Mason in 2008 where he performed a free concert for students in Dewberry Hall as part of Homecoming Week. He has since performed at arena venues such as the Verizon Center in D.C. and Merriweather Post Pavilion in Maryland.

Mason Cable Network and the Program Board are hosting a Spring Break Film Challenge with a big cash prize.

As finals approach, De-Stress Fest begins

With finals looming, students relieved tension at this week's De-Stress Fest.

The event which takes place each semester, serves as a way to help students relieve stress just before finals. This year students were able to grab free food, take part in exercise programs and even win free tickets to yesterday's Wiz Khalifa concert.

Students celebrate Mason Day

Hundreds of students visited Lot L to take part in this year's Mason Day on Friday, April 29. Students were able to go on amusement park rides, eat free food, listen to live music and visit with various student groups.

Mason Week kicks off

With the spring semester winding down it can only mean one thing—Mason Day is on the horizon.

This week, in celebration of GMU’s annual tradition, Program Board along with dozens of other student groups will be providing daily activities leading up to Friday’s celebration.

The Only wins this year's Battle of the Bands

Program Board held their annual Battle of the Bands on April 19, where participating bands vied for a spot on the main stage at this year’s Mason Day concert on April 29.

Although the event saw only a handful of attendees, those who came were treated to riffs and tunes from the various bands.

Mood Indigo wins spot at Mason Day

Mood Indigo beat the competition last week at the MC/DC Mason’s Competition of Dance and Choir, winning a spot to perform at this year's Mason Day. C2M collected footage of the event as Mood Indigo, GM-Unit, the Mason Glee Club and the Early RyzerzZ Crewfound duked it out on stage.
