Students race for healthy relationships

Taking place on the George Mason University Prince William Campus, runners gathered before 7 a.m. on Saturday to participate in the 2011 No Fear in Love 6-mile race.

The race, created by Mason student Karen Bontrager, has been in the works for three years and aims to raise awareness about the importance of healthy relationships and emphasize that fear has no place in them.

Proceeds from the event were donated to the Time To Fly Foundation, a faith-based non-profit group that works to help people affected by domestic violence.
