Connect2Mason.com will host a massive scavenger hunt and puzzle game at the close of Welcome Week this fall. Open to Mason students, faculty, staff and alumni, the event leads teams on and around the George Mason University Fairfax campus solving mindbender puzzles that lead to an ultimate grand prize.

The Hunt, a competition much like The Washington Post's Post Hunt but made specifically for Mason, will take place Saturday, Sept. 3. The tagline tells participants to "start your year with an adventure."

Its website launched on Tuesday and contains more detailed information about the event, an introduction to Mason community members talking about the event – like Head Men's Basketball Coach Paul Hewitt – and a way to keep an eye on  what's for breakfast (Mason Dining will be sponsoring a free breakfast for the first players before the game begins).

Check out the website for more information and how to stay on top of the latest Hunt news as the date approaches. Information about prizes will soon be revealed on the site, and according to their staff, "it's gonna be big."

Itching to tell people you're playing? Here's the event on Facebook. Invite your friends and start forming a team now. From what we've heard, you'll want to have a head start on teammates.
