Wednesday, Feb. 22 and Thursday, Feb. 23
Job and Internship Fair

What it is: Career Services is hosting a Job and Internship Fair this week.  Bring your resume and dress your best so you can impress the numerous employers sure to be in attendance.

Why it’s our pick: This is a good chance for students to get to know what jobs are available in the area and what companies are looking for fresh college hires.  If you're looking for a job you won't want to miss it!

Where: Johnson Center Dewberry Hall, 11 – 4 p.m.

Friday, Feb. 24
Mr. and Mrs. Black GMU Pageant

What it is: The Office of Diversity Programs and Services and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority are putting on the annual Mr. and Mrs. Black GMU pageant this Friday.  Studtents are invited to join the festivites and watch as the winners are crowned.  The event will be followed by the closing ceremonies of Black/African Heritage Month, which is black tie affair.

Why it’s our pick: The event focuses on messages of positivity and community service, which the winners, as representatives of the student body, will be expected to exemplify.  Support them, let your own postive message be known, and above all, have fun!

Where: Johnson Center Dewberry Hall, 9 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 25
No Fear in Love Race

What it is: Run to support healthy dating and relationship behaviors and raise money to fund a new scholarship for victims of dating violence.  Early registration is $24 and registration at the event is $26.  The six-mile race will be followed by a discussion on why people should focus on more positive relationship behavior.  Register online here.

Why it’s our pick:  This is an opportunity to raise money for a good cause and start a conversation that is sometimes not given the amount of attention it deserves.  Show your support!

Where: Outside Mason Hall, 6:30 a.m.

Saturday, Feb. 2
Blake Shelton Concert

What it is: Country music star Blake Shelton, CMA Male Vocalist of the Year, will be performing at the Patriot Center along with opening acts Justin Moore and star of "The Voice," Dia Frampton.

Why it’s our pick: Country fans won't want to miss this star studded show.  Tickets are available for $54.75 and $29.75.

Where: Patriot Center, doors open at 6:30 p.m., show begins at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, Feb. 25
Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra Concert

What it is: Northern Virginia's own jazz ensemble presents this tribute to jazz greats Buddy Rich, Woody Herman, and Stan Kenton.

Why it’s our pick: Country not your thing?  Mason has you covered this weekend with what's sure to be a great show of virtuosity and musicianship.  Tickets are available for $40, $30, and $20.

Where: Center for the Arts Concert Hall
