To conclude the month of April, and Mason’s month of “weeks,” George Mason University celebrates its 48th annual Mason Week from now until April 27 with many activities and events to celebrate Patriot Pride.

If you’ve tuned into the radio at all these past few months, you’ve most likely heard of singer-songwriter Andy Grammer. With his popular, catchy songs such as “Keep Your Head Up” and “Fine By Me,” Grammer is headlining at this year’s Mason Day. Grammer's music is reminiscent of acts such as Colbie Caillat and Jason Mraz.

Mason Day concludes a week’s worth of events that celebrates the end of another school year at George Mason University. Setup in the Patriot Center’s parking lot, Mason Day marks it’s 48th year and includes carnival rides and activities, and will be held on Friday, April 26 from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Students celebrate Mason Day

Hundreds of students visited Lot L to take part in this year's Mason Day on Friday, April 29. Students were able to go on amusement park rides, eat free food, listen to live music and visit with various student groups.

Mason Week kicks off

With the spring semester winding down it can only mean one thing—Mason Day is on the horizon.

This week, in celebration of GMU’s annual tradition, Program Board along with dozens of other student groups will be providing daily activities leading up to Friday’s celebration.

The Only wins this year's Battle of the Bands

Program Board held their annual Battle of the Bands on April 19, where participating bands vied for a spot on the main stage at this year’s Mason Day concert on April 29.

Although the event saw only a handful of attendees, those who came were treated to riffs and tunes from the various bands.

Mood Indigo wins spot at Mason Day

Mood Indigo beat the competition last week at the MC/DC Mason’s Competition of Dance and Choir, winning a spot to perform at this year's Mason Day. C2M collected footage of the event as Mood Indigo, GM-Unit, the Mason Glee Club and the Early RyzerzZ Crewfound duked it out on stage.
