Women's hoops defeats Delaware, 67-56

The Mason Women Patriots (12-13, CAA 6-8) swept the regular season series with the Delaware Blue Hens (15-10, 8-6), winning 67-56 Thursday night in the Patriot Center.

The George Mason Women’s Patriots (3-5) defeated the Stony Brook Seawolves (3-5), 74-48, at the Patriot Center Thursday night.

Women's Basketball defeats Davis and Elkins, 85-36

The George Mason Women’s Basketball team defeated the Davis and Elkins Senators, 85-36, in an exhibition match at the Patriot Center Monday night. The Patriots showcased several rotations of players in the process, alternating three main lineups over the course of the game.

Men’s Basketball wins big in exhibition contest

The George Mason Men’s Basketball team defeated the Bowie State Bulldogs, 113-73, in an exhibition match Wednesday night.

The Patriots displayed their hard work and team bonding that grew from the Italy trip over the summer. It was also an opportunity to give some new faces, such as freshmen Jonathan Arledge and Bryon Allen, some playing time.

Men’s Soccer falls to Hofstra at home

The George Mason Men’s Soccer team (7-6-2, 3-4-2) faced a tough loss to the Hofstra Pride, falling 2-1 in overtime Wednesday night. Hofstra’s game-winning goal in overtime was scored off a direct kick, hitting junior Eber Martinez in the chest before landing in the net.

Hofstra did not dominate the close game.

At the 10-minute mark, Mason senior forward Ernesto Marquez crossed the ball over rolling it right in front of the net. The shot just was missed.
