Staffing controversy at Gunston Hall

General Assembly sending Mason $9 million

The Virginia General Assembly is sending $9 million in general fund monies to Mason.  The funds are part of  $100 million marked for higher education in the general fund.  The Mason money includes $3 million for recruiting math, science and technology faculty, according to The Examiner.

The reality of home for the holidays

For students whose first semester away at college is about to culminate with a lengthy vacation home for winter break, they might find themselves and their parents experiencing culture shock.
