Wale performs at the Patriot Center
|Wale, Washington D.C.’s hip-hop golden boy, visited the Patriot Center Thursday, September 20. Even after signing under Miami-based Maybach music group and producer Rick Ross, Wale continues to stick close to his hometown by performing regularly around the D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia area. Wale’s performance on Thursday was the only stop in the DMV area.
September 11 Memorial Service
|2,977 illumanarias were lit Tuesday night at Mason Pond to remember those who were lost on 9/11/01. A memorial service followed, ending with the lighting of 60 floating lanterns. Each lantern represented a country who lost a citizen on 9/11. The event was sponsored by Broadside.
Freshmen are greeted by new president during move in
|George Mason University president Ángel Cabrera helped welome freshmen students and their parents to Mason. There were numerous volunteers and student organizations present to help assist in the move in process.
