Author Matt Bondurant is the author of three novels, "The Third Translation," "The Wettest County in the World" and most recently "The Night Swimmer." A former George Mason University English professor, Bondurant will be a part of this year's annual Fall for the Book festival

Bondurant recently spoke with Connect2Mason's Entertainment Editor, Helena Okolicsanyi, on his book "The Wettest County in the World" which was recently turned into a film entitled "Lawless." He also spoke about how he became an author, his writing process, his admiration of writer Sherwood Anderson and the research involved in uncovering the very true story of his grandfather that is at the heart of his book "The Wettest County in his book." Bondurant also spoke about his newest novel, "The Night Swimmer" and where he got the inspiration to write it.

A native of Northern Virgina and a James Madison University alumn, Bondurant now teaches English at the University of Texas at Dallas.

Matt Bondurant will be speaking at 3pm on Friday September 28 in the Sandy Spring Bank tent.
