Contest: Eye on Freshmen Move-in

Hey you. Hey you, freshman. Want $100? Take part in our new project and you and one other incoming student could be getting this nice chunk of money courtesy of Connect2Mason.com.
This week C2M is collecting video of your freshmen move-in experience through our new citizen journalism endeavor. We're dubbing it "The eyeMason Project." Ever seen CNN’s iReport? It’s a lot like that—personable, unique, gritty and authentic.
To kick the project off, we're looking to find the video that exemplifies the feeling of your first hours on campus. Sure, we're heading to President's Park and University Commons to grab some footage, but we want to see it from the eyes of well, you. We think you can capture it better.
Confused by signage? Think something is funny? Bored and standing in line? We want to see it. Submissions can be anything from making friends, to showing us your dorm, to videotaping your chatty parents. Whenever you feel the moment's right, whip out your Flip camcorder, your camera or your smart phone and record it. Then just upload it to YouTube.
From there, we'll review them and showcase the best on our site next week-- and the top two funniest or all-around best videos get the cash.
Rules for Eligibility:

2) All entries must be uploaded to YouTube and posted as a reply to the contest's explanatory video (If you're already signed in, just click here).
3) Submissions should be no more than 3 minutes and no less than 1 minute long. Feel free to upload shorter ones if you think they're comic gold. (They won't count for the sake of the contest, but hey, share the love).
4) A note on content: we don't want too much vulgarity. Keep it appropriate enough that your parents could watch it—they just moved you in.

5) All entries are due Wednesday, Sept. 1 no later than midnight.
That’s it, so start sending 'em in! Winners will be notified on Thursday, Sept. 2 and the best videos will be posted on Friday, Sept. 3.
