The Mason men’s basketball team takes on St. Francis (PA) at 7 p.m. at the Patriot Center.

After a 76-70 win over Northern Iowa, the Patriots (3-0) look to keep their winning streak alive as the Red Flash (1-3) visit Fairfax.

Marko Gujanicic recorded his second double-double in as many games as a starter against UNI on Saturday and is projected to get the starting spot in tonight’s matchup. Sherrod Wright leads Mason in scoring, averaging 16.3 points per game, while Gujanicic leads the team in rebounding, averaging 8.3 per game.

SFU is coming off of a 72-50 loss to Bucknell and junior forward Earl Brown leads his team with 12.5 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per game. The team lacks senior leadership after the departure of Umar Shannon, who is playing his senior season for Quinnipiac University. However, the Red Flash returns Ben Millaud-Meunier, who is their most efficient offensive player from last year, shooting 47.6 percent from behind the arc. They also welcomed two new freshmen additions to the roster with Georgios Angelou from Greece and Malik Harmon from New York City’s Christ the King, where Mason guard Corey Edwards and former Patriot forward Ryan Pearson attended high school.

SFU struggles keeping possession, turning the ball over on 23 percent of their offensive possessions during conference play in the 2012-2013 season. Mason will look to take advantage of SFU turnovers with stifling defense and full court pressure.
